Hobbes raises $6M to kill the book-a-demo button.

San Francisco, CA - Hobbes has raised $6M in funding, including an additional $5M in Seed financing, led by Foundation Capital, with participation from 1984 Ventures, Afore Capital, Emergence Capital, Story Ventures, and Predictive. Hobbes is a self-improving AI agent that runs autonomous product demos for B2B software companies.

The Problem

Modern buyers don't want to understand your product from a one-size-fits-all website or a generic video walkthrough. They want to know whether it can solve their problem before ever talking to sales. But most B2B companies still force every buyer through the same static pages and the same "book a demo" form. By the time the call happens, half the buyers have already moved on.


A company's most valuable asset is the conversation it has with a buyer. Most companies don't have nearly enough of them.

Our Story

Before Hobbes, we built an AI platform for speech therapists. It grew to 100 customers in 60 days. For the first 20, we were on every call, understanding every business and answering each question ourselves. The product worked because the conversations happened.

Then the inbound didn't stop. The honest options were "hire more SDRs" or "create a 1:many experience" (think Clippy). Neither was going to preserve the early-stage magic. So we built an agent that could.

What is Hobbes

Hobbes sits on a company's website or in outbound campaigns and demos their product for them, 24/7. It learns from sales decks, product docs, past sales transcripts, live walkthroughs and more. It runs real conversations with prospects, handles objections, qualifies leads, and books meetings. Sales teams wake up to warm pipeline with full conversation context instead of cold form fills.

Every conversation makes Hobbes smarter. It learns new objection patterns, adapts to different buyer personas, and builds a deeper understanding of the product with each interaction. This isn't a chatbot reading from a script. It's an agent that sells, and gets better at it over time.
